Role Overview

As a Product Manager overseeing the Finance ERP platform, you will be responsible for defining and executing a strategic product vision that aligns with finance operations and compliance requirements. You will manage the product’s full lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering to delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement. The role demands expertise in enterprise finance systems or ERP platforms, strong analytical abilities, and the capability to lead diverse teams across finance, IT, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for the finance ERP system in line with finance and organizational goals.
• Conduct user research, interviews with finance stakeholders, and process analyses to uncover inefficiencies and pain points in workflows such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Utilize quantitative and qualitative data including system metrics, finance KPI trends, and audit reports to inform product decisions and measure improvement outcomes.
• Convert strategic directions into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria while ensuring adherence to finance business rules, data quality, and system integration requirements.
• Identify risks throughout the product lifecycle including data migration, integration issues, compliance risks, and change management obstacles; maintain a comprehensive risk register.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog, balancing regulatory demands with operational efficiencies and strategic upgrades.
• Collaborate closely with finance operations, IT engineering, enterprise architecture, internal audit, and policy units to ensure functional and governance compliance of the ERP platform.
• Update senior finance leadership and key stakeholders on the product roadmap, system changes, and rollout schedules to facilitate expectation management across teams.
• Oversee ERP release planning, coordinate user acceptance testing, assess training needs, manage post-launch support, monitor adoption, and refine features based on feedback and performance data.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of product management experience, ideally working with ERP systems (preferably SAP), enterprise finance platforms, or digital finance process transformation.
• Strong knowledge of core finance processes such as procure-to-pay, record-to-report, financial controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and harmonizing priorities among finance, IT, and operational stakeholders.
• Hands-on familiarity with ERP implementations or enhancement projects including change management, data migration, and system integration complexities.
• Technical proficiency to engage effectively with architects and engineers on system design, APIs, data models, and ERP-related constraints.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of explaining complex finance and technical details to diverse audiences including executives and end users.
