About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organised and creatively motivated Product Designer to take charge of product design and development for Treats Studios and Treats Kids. This full-time, office-based role located in Altrincham offers a unique chance to be the sole designer managing product progression from concept through to production across two rapidly expanding brands. You will collaborate closely with founders, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure that products are aesthetically compelling, timely delivered, and meet high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop new products for Treats Studios and Treats Kids, aligning collections with current trends and brand identity.
Create detailed computer-aided designs (CADs), technical drawings, and comprehensive specification packs ready for manufacturing.
Refine products based on fit sessions, feedback from suppliers, and development evaluations.
Assist with selecting colors, materials, and trims throughout the development phases.
Design original graphics, prints, embroidery, and other artwork appropriate for both apparel and accessories, ensuring production-ready Illustrator files.
Support branding and packaging graphic work as needed, maintaining consistency in all visual product assets.
Oversee the full product development lifecycle, working directly with suppliers on samples, amendments, and approvals.
Review prototypes and provide clear development feedback, keeping all product specifications accurate and up to date.
Maintain well-organised fabric, trim, and color libraries alongside material, component, and supplier databases with accurate version control.
Manage the product development critical path by tracking collection progress from concept to production, ensuring deadlines are met and proactively addressing any potential delays.
Collaborate closely with the company founders to align product strategy and seasonal direction, participate in product review meetings, and foster strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
Contribute to broader business initiatives as required.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be self-driven with excellent organisational abilities, capable of independently handling multiple projects simultaneously. They should be adaptable to fast-paced environments and have a proactive, problem-solving approach.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

At least 3 years of experience as a Product Designer in the fashion industry.
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and expert in Adobe Illustrator.
Experienced in creating professional CADs, technical drawings, and detailed tech packs intended for manufacturers.
Strong graphic design skills with talent in typography, layout, and branding.
Deep understanding of garment construction and the overall product development process.
Proven experience dealing directly with factories and suppliers.
Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to juggle multiple deadlines efficiently.
Confident working independently as the sole designer on projects.
