Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and clearly zoned produce department to ensure readiness for customers at all times.
• Regularly rotate stock and remove expired products to guarantee produce freshness and quality.
• Verify accurate pricing and signage for all produce items, adhering to procedures related to ordering, markdowns, labels, and clearances.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and cold chain protocols including temperature monitoring and correct handling per sell-by and expiration dates.
• Stock and downstock merchandise efficiently; implement product protection and arrange modular displays to keep produce areas fully stocked.
• Comply with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and clean workplace environment.
• Be adaptable in working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as per business requirements.

Challenges and Physical Requirements

• Manage high task volumes in a fast-paced environment, particularly during overnight shifts by planning personal energy for focus and efficiency.
• Handle physically demanding work such as standing for long periods, bending, lifting items up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive activities like stocking, zoning, and organizing with consistent attention to detailed standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05 CAD.
