Compensation
The pay for this position is $31.01 to $36.65 per hour.
What the job involves
This position focuses on cleaning aircraft engine parts and related accessories across the full repair and overhaul cycle. The work may be done by hand or with machine assistance.
- Carry out manual and machine-assisted cleaning of parts during repair and overhaul activities.
- Work on engine cleaning and parts washing tasks.
- Handle plastic beading, flushing, vibratory cleaning, and chemical stripping.
- Perform dry and wet abrasive grit blasting as needed.
- Check the concentration of tank solutions.
- Complete shop practice audits to keep the cleaning line compliant, orderly, and clean.
- Restock consumables and chemicals.
- Take on additional duties when assigned.
Requirements
- Grade 12 education is required, with Chemistry included as one of the subjects.
- Previous work involving chemicals and use of personal protective equipment is considered an advantage.
- Strong manual dexterity and the ability to understand technical instructions are important.
- Comfort using computer systems is needed.
- The role requires a cooperative, professional approach when working with colleagues, along with the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Candidates must be available for rotating shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
- Overtime availability is required when needed.
