Role Overview
The PMO Manager will oversee infrastructure-centric projects for Fortune 500 clients across various sectors. The role emphasizes managing global infrastructure planning and deployment services, ensuring top-tier implementation and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply in-depth knowledge of project management methodologies to lead initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams, project managers, and deployment personnel to guarantee flawless project execution.
- Ensure that service levels are exceeded while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvements in service processes within the PMO.
- Manage financial aspects including budgeting, cost control, and proformas.
- Maintain transparent and proactive communication with customers and internal teams.
- Lead personnel management, including recruitment, interviewing, and developing high-performing teams with strong morale.
- Forecast staffing needs and oversee optimal resource utilization.
- Steer project timelines, scope, milestones, and adherence to PMO methodologies.
- Effectively monitor and manage day-to-day project operations.
- Implement robust risk management and issue resolution strategies.
- Oversee quality review of project deliverables and enforce rigorous post-project evaluations and lessons learned.
- Nurture and sustain relationships with internal/external stakeholders, customers, and subcontractors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; PMP certification or extended management experience is valued.
- At least 5 years of management experience within professional services managing PMO teams handling complex IT projects.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management.
- Certified in PMP or PRINCE2.
- Over 3 years of prior experience in sales or business development roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of networking technologies and deployment methodologies.
- Strong financial acumen including contract management, forecasting, tracking metrics, and negotiating contract scope, cost, and schedule.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within high-performing global teams.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, including customer engagement and presentations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on implementing change effectively.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Preferred working timezone aligned with GMT/GMT+1 to sync with the UK office.
