Role overview
This opening is for an experienced Physical Security Specialist II to support Pinterest’s Global Security Services team. The role is central to protecting employees and offices across the APAC region, with direct partnership alongside the EMEA/APAC Regional Security Manager and other internal stakeholders. The position calls for a strong background in security operations, leadership, project coordination, customer service, and team development.
Key responsibilities
- Take primary ownership of physical security for the Singapore office.
- Partner with the regional physical security and GSS teams to build a strong, high-quality security program for APAC.
- Flag risks and threats to the right stakeholders and prepare clear briefing materials with recommended actions.
- Carry out physical security risk reviews for major events and important business decisions.
- Assist the protective intelligence function by reviewing threat and risk patterns, including travel-related risk assessments for high-risk APAC destinations.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and briefings that summarize findings and recommended next steps.
- Manage third-party physical security vendors and oversee contracted guard services.
- Support and advise the Regional Security Operations Center.
- Identify technology enhancements that can strengthen security policies, workflows, and programs.
- Contribute to Pinterest’s global travel security efforts in APAC.
- Handle additional responsibilities as needed to strengthen the overall security posture in the region.
- Support APAC environmental, health, and safety program requirements in line with global standards.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in physical security operations, ideally in fast-moving technology or creative workplace settings, including hands-on safety/security programs and incident response planning.
- Practical knowledge of physical security systems, platforms, and access control tools.
- Solid understanding of enterprise physical security risk management, including assessment methods and mitigation planning.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- English fluency is required; additional APAC language skills are considered an advantage.
- Prior experience working with security vendors and supervising a contracted guard force.
Additional information
This role is not eligible for relocation support.
The expected working model requires in-office collaboration or direct in-person customer interaction typically 2 days per week, so the candidate must be able to commute to the Singapore City office.
