Role Overview

The Physical Security SOC Operator role is responsible for maintaining vigilant oversight of physical security systems across Warner Bros. Discovery's facilities. This includes continuous surveillance through CCTV, access control, alarms, and life-safety systems to ensure prompt identification, assessment, and escalation of security incidents. The operator collaborates closely with on-site security teams, facilities management, emergency responders, and corporate security leadership to ensure a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and manage physical security platforms such as CCTV, intrusion detection, panic alarms, and life-safety systems.
Detect and assess suspicious activities, unauthorized access, and emergencies, following appropriate escalation workflows.
Coordinate with on-site security personnel and relevant stakeholders during security incidents.
Support emergency responses including medical, fire, workplace violence, and facility disruptions, activating notification protocols as required.
Manage access control operations, validate access incidents, and assist visitor management processes.
Prepare detailed reports including daily activity logs, incident summaries, and shift handover documentation.
Adhere to established corporate security policies and participate in compliance activities, audits, and drills.

Required Skills and Experience

Hands-on experience with physical security technologies such as ServiceNow, Everbridge, Ontic, Genetec, Feenics, CCURE, Lenel, CCTV, access control systems, alarms, and fire alarm panels.
Strong understanding of physical security principles, incident management, emergency response, and visitor/access control procedures.
Excellent analytical aptitude for evaluating incidents and prioritizing appropriate responses.
Proficient communication skills for effective documentation and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree.
At least five years of experience in a Physical Security SOC, GSOC, command center, or corporate security environment, ideally within 24x7 operations and multinational settings.

Preferred Certifications

ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP)
ASIS Associate Protection Professional (APP)
Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
Emergency Response or Incident Management Certifications
Certifications related to security systems or access control platforms

Core Competencies

Advanced MS Excel and Power BI skills
Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate (desirable)
Expertise in CCTV monitoring and surveillance
Incident management and emergency coordination skills
Strong situational and risk awareness with keen attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate within a team

Willingness to work rotational shifts supporting a 24/7 Security Operations Center environment.
Ability to promptly address high-priority security incidents within defined service levels.
