About the Role
Join Thyrocare Technologies Pvt Ltd as a Phlebotomist specializing in home collection services. Your primary task will be to collect blood samples using Vacutainers and perform ECG tests at patients' residences while ensuring excellent patient care standards and the safe, timely transport of samples to the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit patients at their homes following the assigned daily schedule.
- Safely and accurately collect blood samples using Vacutainer systems and perform other sample collection methods as needed.
- Carry out ECG testing whenever required by patients.
- Accurately complete and verify Medical Examination Reports (MER) forms and related documentation.
- Ensure all samples are properly labeled and barcoded maintaining strict documentation.
- Adhere consistently to infection control guidelines and safety protocols.
- Maintain the cold chain for samples and guarantee their prompt delivery to the laboratory.
- Offer courteous and professional service while explaining test and fasting procedures to patients.
- Collect patient payments where applicable and update the system or app accordingly.
- Keep thorough daily records of sample collections and attendance.
- Communicate effectively with reporting and laboratory teams for smooth operations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Mandatory certification in DMLT or MLT; candidates with B.Sc Nursing or GNM qualifications may also be considered.
- At least 6 months of verified experience in blood collection using Vacutainer techniques.
- Experience with home collection services is preferred.
- Possession of a two-wheeler along with a valid driving license is preferred.
- Willingness to travel within an assigned area up to a 15 km radius.
Skills Required
- Advanced proficiency in blood sample collection using Vacutainers.
- Understanding of sample handling protocols including storage and maintenance of cold chain.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Basic competency in using mobile applications for data entry and updating records.
- Excellent time management and punctuality.
Working Hours
The role requires full-time commitment with working hours from 6 AM to 2 PM daily.
