Job Description and Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payroll data processing for a portfolio of over 40 clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee payroll service delivery to meet the established process standards and expectations.
- Complete payroll processing fully, preparing for secondary review by the UK team and under the guidance of the UK Payroll support specialist.
- Coordinate and maintain effective internal communication with team members to support aligned best practices.
- Organize payment transfers for employees, partners’ net pay, and relevant third parties.
- Prepare and distribute partner statements accurately.
- Perform post-payroll verification and checks.
- Manage pension payment processes comprehensively, with a focus on Auto Enrolment compliance.
- Maintain regular status updates and communication channels with UK counterparts.
- Ensure compliance with the UK payroll calendar deadlines, accounting for holidays impacting schedule adherence.
- Handle HMRC-related deadlines by preparing filings and payment documentation timely.
- Oversee initial reconciliation of client funds into client call accounts ready for approval by the Payroll manager.
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations for all payroll-related accounts.
- Provide ad-hoc support to team members during high workload periods and assist in payroll coverage during staff absences under Payroll Manager/Supervisor direction.
- Stay informed on technical and professional developments via literature, updates, and targeted training sessions.
- Share relevant technical and client information with teammates to elevate service awareness.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of three years' experience specifically in UK payroll processing.
- Comprehensive understanding of multi-disciplinary impacts and inter-company considerations.
- Strong risk awareness and a service-oriented mindset towards the UK Payroll team.
- High level of accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail in payroll operations.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to cultivate internal and external relationships and collaborate with team members.
- Proactive in identifying and reporting issues, with openness to escalate unresolved matters to management.
- Highly organized with strong adherence to plans and flexible in approach.
- Ability to disseminate complex technical and client-related information among colleagues.
