Role Overview

The Payroll Operations team, part of Global Business Services, is responsible for executing monthly payroll for active employees in collaboration with the HR Service Line. The Payroll Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the payroll team in Germany by delivering accurate and timely payroll and time management services. This role also includes opportunities to influence payroll process enhancements beyond routine payroll tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage execution of payroll processes while ensuring proper controls and follow-ups with internal payroll team members and external payroll service providers to maintain high-quality, timely payroll delivery.
• Record required salary and time-related data accurately in dedicated payroll and time-tracking systems.
• Ensure completion of monthly payroll closing activities in alignment with established processes and workflows.
• Analyze new legislation and HR policies to assess impacts on payroll procedures, methods, and tools.
• Provide internal customers with support and respond to queries related to payroll and time tracking through authorized communication channels.
• Update documentation for time management and payroll systems under supervision and assistance from the payroll team.

Candidate Profile

• Relevant educational background or equivalent qualification in finance or business administration.
• Minimum of 2 years' professional experience in payroll or time management.
• Fluent German language skills (spoken and written) and advanced English proficiency are essential; applicants should submit their CV in English.
• Knowledge of labor law, tax law (especially wage tax), and social security regulations.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with HR and payroll software systems such as SAP HR, SuccessFactors, or similar is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused mindset.

Employment Terms

This position provides a permanent contract with a hybrid working model requiring a minimum of three days onsite in Rheinberg, Germany.

Compensation

The expected base salary range is 3900 to 5900 euros per month, dependent on skills and experience. The total remuneration package includes bonuses and other incentives.
