About the Role
We are searching for a diligent and skilled Payroll Clerk to become part of a thriving healthcare organization. This role is vital in ensuring that all healthcare professionals receive accurate and timely compensation, contributing to smooth financial operations within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately for all employees on a bi-weekly or monthly schedule, ensuring timely payments that comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Oversee expense reports by verifying accuracy and guaranteeing prompt reimbursements.
- Perform routine audits of payroll processes and documentation to detect and remedy any discrepancies swiftly.
- Maintain meticulous payroll records including timesheets, invoices, and tax documents.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to efficiently handle payroll-related tasks.
- Stay informed about updates in payroll legislation and best practices, incorporating necessary changes accordingly.
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll concerns professionally and promptly.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least two years of payroll experience, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- Competence in payroll software and proficiency with computer applications like Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, accounting, tax regulations, and related procedures.
- Experience managing expense reports, conducting audits, and handling reimbursements.
- Exceptional numerical aptitude and keen attention to detail to manage large data volumes accurately.
- Effective organizational and time management abilities, capable of prioritizing to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with employees across all levels.
- A degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline is considered an advantage.
