About the Role and Team
TikTok's Content Partnerships team is committed to accelerating the expansion of leading global media accounts by cultivating strong executive-level relationships, forging strategic partnerships, anchoring essential platform narratives, driving supplemental growth primarily in content, and collaborating closely with media, marketing, and business support teams to deliver unparalleled service.
The Partnership Manager (News) reports to the Head of Publisher for the News team and plays a central role in establishing and maintaining high-level connections with publishers across North America and internationally. This role focuses on growing content incrementally while maximizing measurable value for partners to boost their return on investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Scout rising content trends and coordinate with cross-functional teams to craft strategies that meet business objectives and amplify content impact for TikTok and its partners.
- Translate partners' business priorities into actionable growth opportunities and foster product innovations.
- Use data analytics to identify operational hurdles, propose effective solutions, and demonstrate a robust grasp of content operations metrics alongside excellent storytelling through reports and insights.
- Oversee and implement central content strategies while managing relationships with relevant partner stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Creator, Ad Sales, and Business Development teams to co-manage partners’ content portfolios and align publisher strategies with company priorities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in media, data analytics, partnerships, and strategy, including collaboration with product teams.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret content operation KPIs and communicate insights effectively.
- Proven capability to engage industry leaders and cross-functional teams to guide complex initiatives, facilitated by excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal strengths.
- Ability to comprehend and prioritize core business issues, articulate challenges clearly, and spearhead projects addressing key objectives.
- Innovative mindset toward creating partnership frameworks that leverage TikTok’s unique value proposition for partners.
- Resilience and a problem-solving approach to navigate ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Bachelor’s degree is a requirement.
- Preferred: deeper understanding of business dynamics, curiosity towards market complexities, prior product experience, and advanced degrees (MS/MA/MBA) or content platform background.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary for this position in Los Angeles ranges from $88,920 to $209,380, varying by factors such as candidate qualifications and location. In addition, discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units may be offered.
