About the Role
Join Kilvington Grammar School's OSHC team in Ormond as an OSHC Service Coordinator, overseeing the daily operations of a vibrant Out of School Hours Care program. This part-time position offers guaranteed shifts on all school days with scheduled before and after school care sessions, plus flexible vacation care hours. The hourly wage is $45.46 with an additional 12% superannuation, plus a $4.32 per hour worker retention bonus.
Working Hours and Location
- Before School Care: 7:00 am - 9:00 am
- After School Care: 2:15 pm - 6:00 pm
- Monday to Friday, aligned with school days
- Vacation Care available with flexible 38 hours per week schedule
- Work located near your home in Ormond, VIC
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the service by creating engaging and educational programs including science activities, sporting events, and creative arts to captivate children
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment where every child feels valued
- Prepare healthy and appealing snacks to sustain children's energy
- Collaborate with the Programs Engagement Manager and compliance experts to maintain and improve program quality and compliance standards
- Build strong relationships with families, staff, and school leadership to foster a cohesive community
- Manage everyday operations to ensure smooth service delivery
Candidate Requirements
- Possess or be pursuing relevant qualifications such as a Diploma, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Teaching, School Aged Care, Youth Work, Community Services, or related fields (approval of qualifications subject to verification)
- Exhibit a warm, engaging personality with a positive, proactive approach
- Hold or be willing to obtain mandatory certifications including Working with Children Check, Child Protection Training, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children, coworkers, and school leadership alike
