Operational Specialist - Roadside Assistance and Autonomous Vehicle Maintenance

Position Overview

The Operations Specialist will manage the roadside assistance, maintenance, exterior care, and cleaning of our autonomous delivery vehicles and robots. This role focuses on ensuring prompt resolution of vehicle breakdowns in the field, maintaining the fleet in optimal and presentable condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond swiftly to roadside incidents, diagnosing issues on site and coordinating vehicle recovery when repairs onsite are not feasible.
• Carry out routine and corrective repairs on mechanical, electrical, or component levels, maintaining detailed logs and escalating complex issues to engineering teams.
• Perform exterior maintenance including checks for body condition, touch-up work, and upkeep of coatings or wraps to meet company branding standards.
• Conduct regular cleaning of vehicle interiors and exteriors, adhering to operational cleanliness standards and reporting any damages found during cleaning.
• Record all service activities accurately, coordinate with site and operations teams for downtime scheduling, and prepare reports covering incident and repair metrics.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma, vocational qualification, or equivalent in automotive, mechanical, or electrical maintenance preferred; relevant hands-on experience is accepted.
• Prior experience in vehicle maintenance, roadside assistance, or fleet servicing is advantageous.
• Knowledge or experience with electric vehicles, robotics, or autonomous systems is an added benefit.

Essential Requirements

• Must possess a valid UAE driving license and own transportation for travel to various Abu Dhabi locations.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills with physical ability to perform maintenance and use basic tools.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in the field under different conditions.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is beneficial.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and awareness of safety protocols.
• Ability to work rotational or on-call shifts to attend to incidents promptly.
