Role Overview

HCLTech is hiring a MERN Stack Developer for its Pune office. The role is focused on creating scalable web applications and delivering robust software solutions using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.

What You’ll Do

Build, enhance, and support web applications developed on the MERN technology stack.
Create responsive user interfaces with React.js and current frontend development tools.
Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
Work on MongoDB database structure, schema design, and performance improvements.
Write clean code while keeping application quality, speed, and scalability in mind.
Partner with QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver features smoothly.
Investigate, isolate, and fix defects and production issues.

Skills and Experience Needed

Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, including ES6+ features.
Practical experience with React.js, Node.js, and Express.js.
Comfort with MongoDB and other NoSQL database systems.
Understanding of REST APIs and microservices-based architecture.
Exposure to Git and CI/CD workflows.
Familiarity with frontend basics such as HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap or Tailwind.
Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting ability.

Nice to Have

Experience with Redux or Next.js.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Background in Agile or Scrum delivery methods.
