About the Role

Position Overview
You will work as a Medical Expert on a remote, contract basis, contributing subject-matter expertise to help train and evaluate AI systems in a healthcare context.
Compensation and Work Arrangement
The pay range for this role is $130 to $180 per hour. The work is fully remote, fully asynchronous, and the engagement is ongoing with monthly reviews. The expected commitment is 20 or more hours each week.
Key Responsibilities
- Create medically accurate prompts and case scenarios based on your specialty, including diagnostic reasoning and treatment planning.
- Develop high-quality reference answers at attending-physician level to support AI model training.
- Evaluate AI outputs using structured scoring criteria so they align with evidence-based medical standards.
- Share written feedback with the research team to help refine model performance and response quality.
- Take part in onboarding office hours and specialty alignment sessions to keep calibration consistent over time.
Eligibility and Qualifications
- Attending physicians must hold board certification and an active, unrestricted medical license.
- Resident physicians must be in the final year of residency; recent graduates must be board-eligible.
- Fellows must be board-certified or board-eligible in their primary specialty and have an active, unrestricted medical license.
Start Date
Start is rolling and begins after onboarding approval is completed.
Payment Details
Weekly payments are made through Mercor.
