Mechanical Site Supervisor - Construction & Extraction (On-Site)

Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Site Supervisor to oversee fabrication, piping, structural, and erection works on-site. This role demands vigilant supervision of daily activities ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and project timelines within industrial construction projects.

Primary Duties

• Direct daily site operations aligned with project schedules.
• Manage allocation and supervision of fabrication, piping, structural, and erection work teams.
• Enforce compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, proper PPE use, and relevant statutory safety regulations.
• Coordinate the availability of materials, tools, equipment, and workforce to ensure continuous workflow.
• Monitor materials utilization aiming to reduce waste.
• Generate and maintain daily reports concerning project progress, manpower deployment, and site activities.
• Collaborate efficiently with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to address and resolve on-site issues.
• Assist in preparation of documentation including attendance and contractor billing processes.

Prerequisites and Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3 to 6 years experience managing fabrication, piping, and structural projects within industrial environments.
• Proficient understanding of fabrication processes, piping, structural erection, and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME, API, AWS, and comprehensive HSE guidelines.
• Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to oversee teams, manage subcontractors, and coordinate with clients effectively.

Preferred Certifications

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or CSWIP certification.
• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level II certification.
• Industrial Safety certification.

Additional Information

Remuneration ranges between INR 15,000 to INR 28,000 per month. This is an urgent hiring requirement for on-site employment located in Trichy, Tamil Nadu.
