Role Overview
The MBBS Education Counselor will play a key role in delivering complete guidance to students wanting to pursue MBBS courses overseas. Working full-time on-site in Visakhapatnam, this position involves daily engagement with students and their families to comprehend their aspirations, present appropriate countries and institutions, and clarify admission criteria, eligibility, and financial prerequisites. The counselor is responsible for aiding with application completion, document validation, and liaising with partner universities. Additionally, they support students through scholarship and visa procedures, coordinate with internal teams, conduct informational seminars, maintain accurate records, track application progress, and contribute to student success narratives and referrals. The position demands proactive communication, adherence to professional counseling ethics, and close teamwork to guarantee top-quality service.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Deep knowledge of educational consulting and MBBS/medical education pathways.
- Expertise in student and career counseling to advise on academic options, professional outcomes, and global study destinations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and regional languages as applicable.
- Ability to establish trust, demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and maintain an ethical, student-focused counseling approach.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or related disciplines; familiarity with overseas education systems or MBBS admissions is highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail, especially in managing documentation and follow-ups.
- Comfortable working with digital tools such as CRM software, email platforms, online meeting technologies, and proficiency in MS Office or equivalent applications.
- Prior experience in overseas education consultancy or student advisory roles is advantageous.
