Role Overview
This position is suited for a proactive professional who can oversee daily transportation activities, manage vehicle coordination, keep deliveries on schedule, and ensure seamless communication among customers, transport partners, vendors, and internal teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate dispatches so shipments reach customers on time.
- Organize transportation through approved logistics partners and vendors.
- Monitor vehicle movement and track each shipment until it is delivered.
- Liaise regularly with suppliers, warehouses, transporters, and customers to keep operations moving smoothly.
- Quickly address transport delays, delivery issues, and other shipment-related concerns.
- Collect, verify, and maintain Proof of Delivery (POD) documents.
- Keep shipment, dispatch, and delivery records accurate and up to date.
- Review freight spends and look for ways to reduce transportation costs.
- Follow up with transporters to ensure vehicles are placed and dispatched as planned.
- Coordinate delivery schedules and customer commitments with the Sales team.
- Share shipment updates with customers whenever needed.
- Check that all dispatch paperwork is complete and correct.
- Manage delivery escalations and work toward fast resolution.
- Prepare daily logistics MIS and operational reports.
- Work in line with company logistics processes and safety standards.

Education
A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.
Experience
Applicants should have 5 to 10+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or dispatch-related operations. Prior exposure to the Steel, Manufacturing, Building Materials, Cement, Construction, Metals, or Industrial Products sector is preferred.
