About the Role

Jotun Middle East, India and Africa (MEIA) emphasizes logistics as a pivotal factor for business expansion. Operating as a regional business development center, Jotun sources products globally and oversees the transportation of goods across Middle East and Africa. The Logistics Executive will operate in a dynamic multinational setting, handling intricate supply chains involving multiple transport methods and countries. The role focuses on ensuring effective, safe, and compliant movement of products from source to customer, contributing to regional growth.

Role Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end ocean freight processes including shipment planning, booking, schedule monitoring and delivery tracking.
Oversee road transport activities, optimizing vehicle scheduling, routing, and execution for inbound and outbound shipments.
Coordinate air freight shipments as needed for urgent deliveries.
Monitor shipment progress actively to address delays or transport issues promptly.
Lead negotiations with international freight providers to achieve competitive pricing and service standards.
Maintain strong partnerships with logistics vendors to ensure reliability and continuous improvement.
Ensure shipping documents comply with regulations and company policies and maintain accurate records for audits.
Analyze logistics costs and performance metrics to pinpoint improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate closely with warehouse teams to streamline receiving, packing, dispatch, and delivery processes.
Coordinate with supply chain, customer service, and sales teams to enhance information flow and customer satisfaction.
Identify and support implementation of process improvements and standardization throughout the MENA logistics operations.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
3 to 5 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, customs, or supply chain operations.
Comprehensive knowledge of international freight logistics, customs compliance, and trade regulations.
Proficiency in advanced Excel and ERP software usage.
Strong negotiation, communication, and coordination capabilities.
Experience in multinational environments preferred; fluency in English required, Arabic advantageous.

Expertise in managing ocean, road, and air freight operations.
Knowledge of import/export processes and shipping documentation.
Trade compliance and customs regulation understanding.
Vendor and carrier relationship management.
Cost analysis and freight optimization strategies.
