What You Will Do

Gather, separate, launder, dry, finish, and hand out linens and residents’ clothing.
Use laundry machines and related equipment in a careful and efficient manner.
Keep track of laundry tasks and notify the supervisor about equipment problems or safety concerns.
Work in line with infection prevention standards and universal precautions to maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
Communicate courteously with residents, staff members, and visitors while delivering strong customer service.
Handle other duties as assigned.

What You Need

A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is preferred.
Prior experience in laundry work is preferred, though not mandatory.
A professional attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, administrators, and HCSG leadership.
Willingness to comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Capacity to stand, sit, bend, and walk for long stretches.
Comfort working around cleaning chemicals.
Ability to follow spoken and written directions and complete repetitive daily tasks.
Residence within the service area is required.
