Job Overview

We are looking for a diligent and reliable Laundry Attendant to join our team in Dubai. You will be responsible for ensuring that all linens and uniforms meet top cleanliness and presentation standards, thereby enhancing the guest experience.

Key Duties

• Oversee daily laundry operations for linens and uniforms, following specific care and cycle protocols.
• Operate laundry machinery and handle chemicals safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laundry equipment, alerting supervisors to any issues promptly.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold textiles according to care instructions with attention to detail.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, completing daily checklists accurately.
• Manage lost and found items in line with hotel procedures.
• Participate in monthly stocktaking and maintain precise logbooks.
• Meet operational deadlines and schedules established by management.
• Coordinate with different departments to ensure timely delivery of cleaned items.
• Implement consistent quality checks to uphold standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Candidate Profile

• 1 to 3 years experience as a Laundry Attendant within a 4 or 5-star hotel or similar environment.
• Vocational diploma or degree in hospitality is preferable.
• Comprehensive understanding of laundry processes and textile care methods.
• Proven ability to handle chemicals safely and operate laundry machinery efficiently.
• Strong focus on accuracy and quality control.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving workplace.
• Basic proficiency in English.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Dedication to maintaining a neat and orderly work environment.
