Join our team as a Laboratory Officer within the semiconductor fabrication unit (FAB). This position entails operating various semiconductor equipment, handling wafer processing steps, and maintaining cleanroom protocols. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate semiconductor machinery including deposition, etching, lithography, and metrology tools for wafer processing, measurements, and inspections.

  • Detect and resolve fundamental equipment or process issues, executing first-level recovery per standard operational procedures.

  • Perform scheduled maintenance activities like chemical refills, replenishing supplies, and replacing consumables.
  • Strictly follow Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines, chemical handling procedures, and cleanroom protocols.
  • Engage actively in shift handovers with clear documentation and communication about tool status, issues, and ongoing operations.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Educational background of Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Engineering, Science, or related fields.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Preferable prior experience in semiconductor manufacturing, wafer fabrication, or cleanroom activities.
  • Basic knowledge of semiconductor process operations, equipment usage, and statistical process control (SPC) concepts is advantageous.
  • Strong adherence to SOPs, quality measures, and EHS policies.
  • Capable of working physically within cleanroom conditions for long shifts (12-hour rotations), including standing and gowning requirements.
  • Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Detail-oriented with strong commitment to precise data recording and integrity.
  • Effective team player with excellent communication to coordinate with engineers, technicians, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight, demonstrating responsibility and ownership.
