Junior Web Developer

About the role

Healthcare Success is a digital-first, fully integrated marketing agency seeking a junior web developer to support a range of client-facing digital projects. The team is about 35 people, large enough to offer strong peers and resources, but still small enough for individual contributors to make a meaningful impact. What you will do

• Support the creation, troubleshooting, and ongoing upkeep of client websites, landing pages, and CMS plugins or modules across platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, and similar systems.
• Partner with SEO and Technical Product teams to define technical requirements for web projects.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code across front-end and back-end technologies, including HTML, CSS/SCSS, VanillaJS, jQuery, ReactJS, PHP, and Node.js.
• Work alongside senior developers, designers, project managers, and account managers to convert visual designs into working web experiences.
• Use Git for source control and follow standard deployment processes.
• Investigate, test, and resolve issues in CMS-based and full-stack web development work.

Who this role is suited for

• Professionals with 2 to 5+ years of experience building and managing multiple client websites, landing pages, or web applications.
• Candidates who have worked in digital agencies, particularly on paid search, paid social, or SEO campaigns, are preferred.
• Developers who are motivated to learn technologies used in marketing and performance-focused environments.
• Applicants with a basic understanding of SEO practices, or a strong interest in learning them.
• People who can stay organized while handling roughly 5 to 10 client projects at different levels of complexity and budget.

Experience and technical background

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent practical development experience.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant development experience.
• Working knowledge of CMS development, especially WordPress or a comparable platform.
• Experience with page builders such as Webflow, Elementor, Divi, or Oxygen.
• Strong communication skills and a reliable, proactive work style.
• Hands-on experience with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with ReactJS, NextJs, Angular, or another modern front-end framework is a plus.
• Exposure to WP Engine hosting, general web hosting, and DNS concepts.
• Ability to convert Adobe XD or Figma designs into functional HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of responsive web design, pixel-accurate implementation, Google Tag Manager, GA4, GSC, Google Ads, Facebook, Freshpaint, and Git.
• HIPAA compliance knowledge is an added advantage.

Location and schedule

The role is open to qualified candidates anywhere in the United States, but employees must work Pacific Time hours.
