Position Overview
This role calls for a proactive, well-organized Junior Project Manager & Training Manager to handle learning operations, project management, course production, and training facilitation. Responsibilities include managing complete training projects, collaborating with trainers and stakeholders, supervising learning initiatives, and ensuring the smooth running of both digital and in-person learning programs. The position requires close collaboration with the Director to maintain high learning quality.
Key Duties
- Design, organize, and execute training activities conducted either online or onsite.
- Lead induction and orientation sessions for new employees.
- Oversee skill development programs including technical, functional, and behavioral trainings.
- Manage trainer schedules and logistics for classrooms.
- Ensure outstanding learner experiences and monitor attendance, assessments, and course completions.
- Assess training effectiveness and suggest enhancements.
- Coordinate development and recording of self-paced online courses, ensuring quality content and timely launch on the LMS.
- Create and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones for various simultaneous projects.
- Allocate resources effectively and monitor project progress to meet deadlines.
- Lead daily operations of the learning team, mentoring junior members and tracking productivity.
- Develop training calendars, manage trainer and resource scheduling ensuring efficient use of facilities.
- Maintain detailed training databases, track key performance metrics, and prepare comprehensive reports including MIS reports on training impact and resource utilization.
- Liaise with the Director and external stakeholders including clients and educational partners to coordinate initiatives and communicate updates.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong abilities in project management, planning, and organizational coordination.
- Leadership skills to manage teams and facilitate training operations.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and scheduling tools.
- Competence in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Workspace applications.
- Data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication along with problem-solving aptitude.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Management, or related areas is expected. Higher qualifications such as MBA or PGDM focusing on HR, Operations, or Project Management are advantageous.
Experience Requirements
Applicants should have between 2 to 5 years of experience in training management, learning and development, project coordination, or operations management, preferably within corporate training or educational projects. Familiarity with LMS platforms and EdTech is a plus.
