Position Summary

We are expanding our remote-first team and are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Front-End Developer eager to learn, collaborate, and advance their career. This role involves assisting with the creation, development, and upkeep of modern web applications and UI components.

Key Responsibilities

• Create responsive, mobile-optimized web pages using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Help develop reusable and interactive UI components.
• Translate UI/UX designs into effective, clean, and responsive web apps.
• Optimize web pages for speed, performance, and usability.
• Ensure compatibility across various web browsers and devices.
• Debug and fix front-end issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Maintain and improve existing web applications with new features and enhancements.
• Perform regular code updates and maintenance routines.
• Collaborate closely with designers, back-end developers, and product managers.
• Engage in Agile processes such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions.
• Communicate clearly about progress, issues, and technical solutions.
• Produce clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following best practices and version control.
• Contribute to testing, quality assurance, and bug fixing activities.
• Embrace continuous learning of new technologies, frameworks, and development methods.
• Share knowledge and propose ideas to enhance product quality and development efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in front-end or web development, including internships, freelancing, academic projects, or personal projects.
• Basic understanding of responsive design principles and Git version control.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Basic experience with frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Familiar with responsive CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and JSON.
• Basic use of browser developer tools and debugging methods.
• Understanding of web accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience developing portfolio, personal, or academic web projects.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and state management libraries (Redux, Context API, Pinia, etc.).
• Experience with design collaboration tools such as Figma.
• Exposure to modern build tools like Vite, Webpack, npm, or Yarn.
• Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
