About the Role

Join the acclaimed Sports Design team at Sky as a Junior Designer, contributing to a dynamic and prestigious broadcast environment. This role involves supporting Sky Sports with creative graphic solutions across diverse sports programming including Premier League football, Formula One, Women’s Super League, cricket, and golf coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in producing reactive broadcast graphics for Sky Sports' various brands and programs.
• Create compelling visual content for major sports events and deliver a variety of studio and live broadcast assets.
• Champion the Sky Sports brand identity by ensuring all creative work meets established visual standards.
• Communicate design concepts lucidly and contribute creatively under the guidance of senior designers within a fast-paced broadcast environment.
• Support live news programming by contributing to breaking news graphics and newsroom content when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong passion and foundational knowledge in graphic design with expertise in typography, layout, color theory, and visual storytelling.
• Formal education in graphic design complemented by awareness of contemporary design practices.
• Proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator; familiarity with motion design is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize ideas and articulate the design process from inception through to final delivery.
• Interest and practical skills in broadcast graphics, branding, information design, and motion graphics.
• Experience designing engaging visual content suitable for TV, digital, and social media platforms.
• Ability to work within and uphold brand guidelines ensuring consistency across all outputs.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills, thriving under deadlines.

Work Environment and Location

This position is based at Sky's Osterley campus, featuring modern facilities and flexible hybrid work arrangements requiring three days onsite weekly.
