Position Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and driven Junior Data Scientists to join our expanding consulting team. This role is suited for recent graduates or professionals early in their IT careers who have a strong interest in data science, machine learning, AI, and making data-informed business decisions. Candidates must be open to relocating to Atlanta, GA for initial paid training and subsequent client assignments throughout the United States.
Key Duties
- Gather, clean, and preprocess various data types, including both structured and unstructured formats.
- Create, apply, and fine-tune machine learning models to address business challenges.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to discover trends, patterns, and meaningful insights.
- Build and assess predictive models using statistical methods.
- Design data visualization tools and dashboards to clearly convey analytical results.
- Work closely with data engineers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to implement data-driven solutions.
- Optimize model performance for accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.
- Adhere to software development standards such as version control and Agile practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in fields like Computer Science, Data Science, IT, Software or Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, AI, or related technical disciplines.
- Between 1 and 4 years of experience in data science, software engineering, analytics, or related roles.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, R, SQL, Java, or equivalents.
- Sound knowledge of statistics, probability, linear algebra, and core machine learning concepts.
- Experience with data analysis libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
- Understanding of SQL, relational database systems, and data modeling principles.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is advantageous.
- Preferred but not essential familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or XGBoost.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
- Must be willing to relocate for training and client engagements.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Participation in internships, academic work, or personal projects related to data science, AI, or predictive analytics.
- Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib.
- Knowledge of Git or similar version control systems.
- Comfort working with development environments such as Jupyter Notebook or Google Colab.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
