Role Overview

As a Junior Data Analyst & Data Operations Specialist, you will join the data operations team and engage in real-world projects to develop your career in data. Your work will involve handling product, operational, and reporting data with responsibilities encompassing data quality control, migration, analytics, and automation. You will gain expertise in tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, Power Query, Power Automate, and AI-aided productivity technologies, paving your way towards roles like Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Data Steward, or Data Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain master, product, and operational data across various business systems ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct data quality assessments to identify and resolve duplicates, missing values, and inconsistencies; assist in root cause investigations.
• Support data mapping, cleansing, enrichment processes, bulk data updates, and migration activities, including reviews and validation.
• Create and sustain reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI, analyzing datasets to uncover patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Apply formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and basic DAX measures for data preparation, summarization, and verification.
• Facilitate clear communication of insights, operational metrics, and data issue resolutions with business stakeholders.
• Identify manual repetitive data tasks and implement automation solutions with Power Automate, Excel, and workflow optimizations.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools judiciously to enhance productivity and documentation, ensuring data privacy compliance.
• Collaborate with business, product, and IT teams to understand requirements and troubleshoot data-related issues.
• Report project progress, risks, and suggest improvements effectively to stakeholders.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives involving reporting, system integration, and data governance.
• Engage in structured onboarding, coaching, and ongoing feedback for professional growth.
• Learn business data processes across ERP, PIM, CRM, reporting, and master data platforms.
• Develop practical skills in SQL, Power BI, Power Query, DAX, data modeling, governance, and automation techniques.
• Contribute to training sessions, documentation efforts, knowledge exchange, and real business projects to build confidence and responsibility.

Candidate Qualifications

• Possess a bachelor's degree, vocational qualification, apprenticeship, or comparable practical experience in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, or related areas.
• Demonstrate a keen interest in data management, analytics, digital tools, and process improvements.
• Have solid Excel proficiency including pivot tables, lookup functions, data validation, and formula application; basic knowledge of databases and SQL is advantageous.
• Exhibit a structured, detail-focused, and reliable work approach capable of adhering to documented procedures and handling large data sets carefully.
• Exposure to Power BI, SQL, Python, Power Automate, Power Query, or database concepts through education, internships, working student roles, or projects is a plus.
• Prior experience with data management, reporting, supply chain, e-commerce, product data, or analytics is beneficial.
• Familiarity with ERP, PIM, CRM, data warehouses, reporting systems, or master data platforms is preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to data accuracy.
• Proactive learner open to feedback and curious about emerging technologies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for working with cross-functional groups.
• Proficiency in English is required; intermediate German (B1/B2 or higher) is highly desirable to facilitate local business interactions.
