IT Shift Technician

About the Role

We are seeking an IT Shift Technician to join our team at Dammam Airport. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining hardware and software to ensure the smooth operation of computer systems. As an IT Technician, you will be the main contact for IT support within the airport environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support by resolving issues related to systems contracted by the customer, including AOS equipment such as servers, workstations, and FIDS Clients.
• Support airport operation systems encompassing both hardware and software components like FIDS, TAMS, RMS, IB, CMS, and CATS.
• Maintain smart airport systems including TDAS, E-gates, and HHT.
• Troubleshoot user problems to provide timely resolutions.
• Handle handover and takeover of IT equipment, replace damaged hardware, and perform on-location installations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance as per the daily, weekly, and monthly schedules set by the Dammam IT team.
• Perform daily inspections of E-gates, CATS workstations, FIDS Client, and HHT at checkpoints.
• Monitor data center air conditioning and servers, and clean FIDS display fan filters regularly.
• Provide technical support by responding to queries, troubleshooting, and resolving issues efficiently.
• Maintain IT infrastructure by performing updates, backups, and security verifications.
• Monitor IT systems and applications to ensure proper function and promptly identify and rectify errors.
• Manage installations and upgrades ensuring minimal impact on airport operations.
• Document IT procedures covering installation and maintenance processes for consistency.
• Deliver training sessions to airport personnel on IT system usage.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations including data protection and cybersecurity standards.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the IT Operations Duty Leader or appropriate IT team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Eligible candidates include fresh graduates or those with up to two years’ experience in IT support.
• Applicants must be Saudi nationals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with capability to perform under pressure.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
• Work location strictly at Dammam Airport in Dammam city.
