Role Overview

As an Inventory Planning & Replenishment Analyst, you will manage daily replenishment tasks while enhancing data quality, reporting accuracy, and decision-making processes that underpin inventory planning. This position requires analytical precision and collaboration across various departments—including Merchandising, Item Master, BI/Looker, Vendors, Warehouse Operations, and Finance—to detect problems, address exceptions, and optimize inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily replenishment using metrics like weeks of supply (WOS), run rates, lead times, inventory levels, open purchase orders, backorders, and demand trends.
• Issue purchase orders guided by planning principles, business priorities, and address exceptions.
• Confirm system-generated recommendations before execution, especially for high-velocity, high-value SKUs or those at risk of overstock or demand fluctuation.
• Track backorders, stockout risks, overdue POs, and supplier constraints, escalating potential issues affecting inventory availability or service levels.
• Collaborate with Merchants and Item Master teams to keep planning-related item data current and precise.
• Identify and address missing or incorrect item attributes impacting replenishment, classification, lead times, and reporting.
• Drive data governance improvements by spotting recurring data quality problems and suggesting process enhancements.
• Lead exception reviews for aged inventory, overstock, overdue POs, backorders, demand anomalies, and data inconsistencies.
• Conduct root-cause analysis to pinpoint reasons behind inventory issues, considering factors like demand changes, item setup mistakes, vendor delays, and system/process gaps.
• Recognize scenarios where data might be misleading, such as unusual sales patterns, promotions, new item behaviors, or vendor transitions.
• Partner with Merchants to verify assumptions about demand, product lifecycle, vendor constraints, and procurements.
• Address merchant inquiries by providing data-backed inventory recommendations.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to resolve inventory challenges and manage JIRA tickets from initiation through closure.
• Monitor and support KPIs including WOS, run rates, inventory turns, GMROI, aged stock, overstock, backorders, and open PO performance.
• Identify discrepancies between dashboards, system outputs, and business realities; propose enhancements to replenishment logic, workflows, reporting, and cross-team coordination.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in inventory management, replenishment, purchasing, demand planning, retail operations, or supply chain functions.
• Comprehensive understanding of WOS, run rate metrics, lead times, inventory turnover, GMROI, aged inventory management, overstock, backorders, and purchase order tracking.
• Proficiency with Excel and ability to handle extensive SKU-level data sets.
• Strong analytical capabilities to detect inventory challenges, perform root cause analyses, and suggest practical solutions.
• High attention to detail for managing item-level data and inputs affecting planning.
• Comfort collaborating across departments including Merchandising, BI/Looker, Item Master, Vendors, Warehouse Operations, and Finance.
• Familiarity with JIRA, business intelligence tools, ERP, or replenishment software is an advantage.
• Background in e-commerce, consumer electronics, or marketplace inventory is beneficial.

Work Requirements

This position requires the candidate to work onsite three days per week to foster in-person teamwork, improve communication, and enable swift problem resolution, contributing to overall team synergy and efficiency. A full-time, standard 40-hour workweek applies.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $80,000 USD annually.
