The Human Resources team collaborates closely with staff and leadership to manage recruitment, onboarding, compliance, benefits, and HR operations. Their goal is to ensure a positive employee experience through efficient and compliant HR practices.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Human Resources Specialist to assist in various HR functions such as onboarding, compliance, employee data management, and benefits administration. This position provides a valuable opportunity for HR professionals to broaden their expertise in a collaborative, mission-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee background checks from start to finish.
- Keep employee information accurate in HR systems and tracking spreadsheets.
- Prepare and organize documentation related to onboarding and compliance.
- Assist with high-volume recruitment, onboarding, and orientations.
- Address employee questions concerning HR procedures and benefits.
- Support benefits administration and provide backup for HR service tasks.
- Handle confidential employee records with precision and care.
- Contribute to HR projects, reporting, and initiatives for process improvement.
- Work closely with the HR team to ensure smooth daily HR operations.
- Perform other HR administrative tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least one year of practical experience in Human Resources.
- Familiarity with HR software, employee records management, and HR documentation.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated professionalism and discretion handling confidential employee information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Availability to work onsite Monday through Friday.
