About the Role
Axe Technologies Inc is in search of a seasoned Human Resource Manager to oversee and direct the organization's HR operations. This pivotal role involves managing recruitment, employee relations, performance oversight, remuneration, training, policy formulation, workforce strategy, and ensuring adherence to Ghanaian labor laws. The manager will collaborate closely with leadership and department heads to foster a dynamic, professional, and high-achieving workforce, with a commitment to consistent and fair policy enforcement.
Core Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute strategies for recruitment and workforce planning aligned with company goals.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process including posting vacancies, screening candidates, conducting interviews, reference verification, and onboarding new hires.
- Consult with department leaders to identify present and future staffing needs and build a pipeline of talent for essential roles.
- Organize employee induction programs and probation evaluations.
- Act as the principal HR representative for employee concerns and workplace issues.
- Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and investigations with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Encourage a positive workplace culture and strong employee relations.
- Provide guidance to both management and employees on company policies and employment standards.
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Assist in designing and maintaining competitive compensation, benefits, and payroll processes.
- Validate payroll accuracy considering employee status changes, overtime, allowances, and deductions.
- Support compensation benchmarking and periodic salary evaluations.
- Manage employee leave policies and records meticulously.
- Identify training needs and develop corresponding annual plans for employee and organizational growth.
- Coordinate internal and external training sessions; support succession and leadership development programs.
- Assess training program effectiveness to ensure continuous improvement.
- Develop, review, and implement comprehensive HR policies, employee handbooks, and workplace protocols.
- Ensure all HR procedures comply with Ghanaian labor legislation.
- Maintain employment contracts and requisite employee documentation.
- Assist management with disciplinary and termination actions according to regulations and company standards.
- Keep leadership informed on labor law updates and HR best practices.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or related fields.
- A Master's degree in the same or related disciplines is considered advantageous.
- Professional certification or active membership in recognized HR bodies is desirable.
- A minimum of five years’ progressive experience in HR, preferably up to ten years, including leadership roles within HR departments.
- Thorough understanding of Ghanaian labor and employment laws.
- Proven skills in recruitment, employee relations, performance and HR administration, training, and compensation management.
- Experience in developing and applying HR policies and procedures effectively.
- Prior collaboration with senior management is a valuable asset.
