Job Overview
This role requires a seasoned HR Manager specializing in US employment law and HR compliance. You will oversee HR functions for US employees, ensuring adherence to regulations, while collaborating with global teams. Prior PEO experience, particularly with ADP TotalSource, is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary expert and owner of all US HR processes, guaranteeing legal compliance at federal, state, and local levels.
- Maintain and update US employee handbook and HR policies to reflect current legislation.
- Manage accurate employee data in the HRIS (HiBob), conduct audits, and ensure data governance.
- Lead US onboarding and offboarding procedures, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with work authorization requirements.
- Administer US benefits programs, including health plans, leave policies, and 401(k) administration in partnership with providers.
- Coordinate payroll accuracy through close partnership with the Global Payroll Manager and act as liaison with ADP TotalSource PEO.
- Monitor and implement changes in US employment law, manage compliance audits, mandatory training, and reporting.
- Provide expert support for employee relations, performance management, and formal case handling, including PIPs.
- Drive US HR projects aligned with global initiatives, supply insights through reporting and analysis, and support ESG and audit activities.
- Support HR operations globally by sharing knowledge of US processes and helping develop scalable workflows.
Qualifications
- Over five years of progressive HR generalist experience focusing on US labor laws and compliance.
- Experience working with PEOs, ideally ADP TotalSource, and 401(k) plan administration expertise.
- Proven ability to lead HR operations independently and act as a trusted subject matter expert.
- Strong proficiency with HRIS systems, data validation, audits, and formal employee relations case management.
- HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Effective communication skills, results-driven mindset, and capacity to prioritize in dynamic environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
Additional Information
This position is fully remote within the United States. The estimated base salary starts at $75,000 USD and may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation packages may also include bonuses, benefits like medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, and retirement plans based on eligibility.
