Housekeeping Assistant

About the Role

Join our newly established care home situated in the pleasant suburb of Pinhoe, Exeter, providing outstanding Nursing, Residential, Dementia, and Respite care for 67 residents. We are seeking a Housekeeping Assistant under contract to maintain a clean and welcoming environment and assist with laundry services.

Salary and Benefits

• Hourly wage: £12.71
• Contracted for 40 hours weekly
• Paid DBS check, pension scheme, and uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave for full-time contract holders

Job Responsibilities

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for cleaning residents’ bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal spaces to high standards of hygiene and presentation. You will also handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, ironing, and properly labelling and returning clothing items. Collaboration with the wider team is essential to follow infection control and health & safety procedures, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Weekend work on alternate weeks is required.

• Knowledge of hygiene and infection control is advantageous
• Previous housekeeping or care home experience is desirable but not mandatory
