Housekeeping Aide

About the Role

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority at Grace Hospital is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to maintain cleanliness and order in designated areas, ensuring a safe, neat, and attractive environment. This role operates within the clinical support stream and requires in-person work during evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping tasks to keep assigned spaces orderly, safe, clean, and visually appealing.

Experience and Qualifications

• Previous experience in institutional housekeeping is preferred, including familiarity with housekeeping machinery and cleaning products.
• High school education is preferred; a minimum of Grade 10 equivalent is required.
• Ability to understand and follow both written and spoken English instructions accurately.
• Proven track record of maintaining high performance within a housekeeping setting.
• Strong understanding of departmental policies and procedures with compliance at a high standard.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Capability to endure continuous standing, walking, bending, lifting, and other physically demanding manual tasks.
• Must successfully pass a Criminal Records Check inclusive of Vulnerable Sector Search and Child and Adult Abuse Registry Checks within six months prior to employment, at the candidate's expense.

• Annual Hours: 2015 hours.
• Salary Range: $20.352 to $22.842 per hour, progressing through specified steps.
