Home Delivery Driver

About the Role

We are recruiting for a Home Delivery Driver to join our team in Eastbourne. This position offers an hourly wage of £13.71 and includes key benefits such as a 15% staff discount, optional health care plan, Grocery Aid support, Christmas vouchers, as well as a minimum of 28 days holiday including bank holidays.

Job Responsibilities

• Load the delivery van safely, complying with proper manual handling and lifting techniques
• Adhere to all safe driving standards during deliveries
• Conduct pre-delivery vehicle inspections
• Ensure all food items arrive to customers in excellent condition
• Provide friendly and professional customer service when making deliveries
• Assist in the store as needed
• Operate independently and manage time effectively
• Flexible to work varying shifts between 6am and 11pm

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a full driving license held for at least 3 years and with no more than 6 penalty points
• Have a positive and friendly attitude with a passion for excellent customer service
• Be punctual and capable of meeting deadlines
• Display a strong commitment to road safety awareness
