Head of Tax and Treasury

Position Overview

We offer a compelling role for a seasoned leader in Tax and Treasury to take comprehensive responsibility for an extensive international portfolio within a thriving New Zealand headquartered organization. This senior position reports directly to the CFO and involves frequent interactions with the Board, making it a highly strategic and visible role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Steer the Group's tax and treasury operations across a diverse, international business landscape.
• Enhance management of cash resources, liquidity, bank arrangements, and interest rate competitiveness.
• Develop better systems for cash flow visibility and forecasting on a Group-wide scale.
• Establish and continually refine tax and treasury policies, procedures, and controls to elevate efficiency and governance.
• Oversee relationships with banking institutions, tax advisors, and other external partners.
• Offer insightful commercial counsel to the CFO, leadership team, and Board members.
• Spot and implement improvements to increase operational efficiency and strengthen oversight mechanisms.

Requirements and Desired Expertise

• Proven track record as a tax and treasury expert in a complex or multinational environment.
• Strong proficiency in cash management strategies and bank relationship management.
• Experience in shaping policy frameworks and optimizing processes within tax and treasury functions.
• Confidence and aptitude in engaging and influencing high-level stakeholders including C-suite executives and board members.
• Commercial acumen paired with an inquisitive mindset, always seeking to understand and enhance operational workflows.
