Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and continual enhancement of the Ethics, Risk & Compliance program throughout Novartis Ireland.
• Advise senior management on critical ethics, compliance, and risk matters with a role as a trusted consultant.
• Support business leaders to actively oversee and handle compliance risks, while serving as an independent challenger and steward of the business.
• Champion a Speak Up culture and ensure psychological safety within the company.
• Encourage integrity, accountability, and ethical choices organization-wide.
• Make data-driven decisions to proactively recognize, evaluate, and reduce risks while encouraging proactive risk management practices.
• Promote compliance awareness through effective training sessions and insightful communications.
• Ensure readiness for audits and assurance by leading monitoring, remediation actions, and follow-up on audit findings.
• Lead transparency reporting efforts and ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
• Cultivate strong partnerships internally and externally to reinforce trust and enhance the reputation of Novartis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in ethics, risk, compliance, or analogous roles, particularly in healthcare.
• Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and guiding ethical decisions independently in a matrix organization.
• Strong judgment and capacity to operate in ambiguity, balancing compliance expectations with business goals effectively.
• Deep knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance frameworks, and risk management principles.
• Proven success in leading cross-functional projects and collaborating in matrixed organizational environments.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills paired with a proactive approach.

Novartis offers a competitive annual base salary range from 85,400 to 158,600 EUR with gender-neutral salary determination based on skills, competencies, and experience, reviewed periodically after joining. Compensation includes potential performance bonuses and a broad array of benefits such as insurance plans, retirement contributions, wellbeing resources, global recognition initiatives, flexible and hybrid working options, and a minimum of 14 weeks paid parental leave.
