About Circuit of The Americas
Circuit of The Americas (COTA), located in Austin, TX, is a year-round entertainment venue hosting world-class events such as the Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR, and MotoGP. It also features COTALAND, an amusement park with over 30 unique attractions, including pioneering roller coasters. COTA is renowned nationally for its diverse sports and entertainment offerings and Live Nation hosts over 30 major concerts each year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater.
Role Overview
COTA is currently looking for dedicated, skilled, and reliable individuals to join as part-time Guest Experience Staff. Reporting directly to the Events and Hospitality Department, team members play a crucial role in supporting various major and minor racing events and concerts throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests and provide event details, directions, and assistance with inquiries.
- Manage and oversee lost and found operations.
- Support ticketing processes, seating arrangements, and managing event entry procedures.
- Address guest concerns courteously and escalate unresolved issues to supervisors promptly.
- Coordinate with fellow team members to ensure seamless event operations.
- Maintain high standards of hospitality and professionalism representing COTA.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-moving, dynamic event environment.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand or walk for long periods.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or operational roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with COTA's events and venue layout is advantageous.
- Multilingual abilities are considered a plus.
Physical and Work Environment Demands
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended durations during shifts.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Preparedness to work under seasonal outdoor conditions including heat and cold.
- Work locations include outdoor settings with movement across different terrains and temporary structures.
- Noise levels can range from moderate to loud during events.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and varying weather conditions is occasional.
