Position Overview
This graduate opportunity is based at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility within the Coke and Iron team. BlueScope's Australian Steel Products division consists of six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla delivering diverse products, innovative solutions, and services domestically and internationally. This role offers the chance to receive mentorship from experienced senior engineers and gain comprehensive exposure to various systems, equipment, and business functions at Australia's leading steel solutions provider.
Responsibilities
- Provide process engineering assistance to support daily plant operations.
- Investigate operational challenges and lead continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Offer engineering support for capital project implementations.
- Deliver technical expertise in the execution of our Process Safety, gas safety, and environmental programs.
Candidate Profile
Recent graduates holding a degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Process Engineering, or a comparable discipline are encouraged to apply. Prior experience or exposure within a manufacturing or engineering context is advantageous. We seek individuals who are eager to develop their career, demonstrate strong communication abilities, and possess a curious, analytical mindset with enthusiasm for technical engineering tasks.
