Overview
Marginpar, a renowned global leader in floriculture, is seeking a seasoned General Manager to oversee its expansive operations in Kenya. This critical leadership position entails spearheading multiple farm sites, fostering operational excellence, and championing sustainable growth while collaborating closely with the Group CEO and international leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of Marginpar’s Kenyan operations, managing diverse teams across several farms.
- Convert strategic business objectives into effective operational processes to enhance productivity and quality.
- Handle financial oversight including budgeting and monitoring key performance indicators to ensure fiscal health.
- Develop leadership skills within the team and cultivate a positive, performance-driven organizational culture.
- Maintain high standards in sustainability practices, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety across all sites.
- Establish and nurture relationships with local stakeholders, government bodies, and community groups.
- Contribute to long-term strategies for operational and organizational growth and development.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agribusiness, or a related discipline.
- MBA or similar postgraduate qualification and/or relevant certifications in operations, finance, leadership, or sustainability are advantageous.
- At least 10 years of senior management experience in agribusiness, horticulture, food processing, or manufacturing sectors.
- Proven expertise managing large teams and complex operational setups.
- Strong command of financial and operational management with experience handling budgets.
- Track record in leading change, managing continuous improvement projects.
- Knowledgeable about the East African business context and regulatory requirements.
- Fluent in English with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Location
The position is based in Naivasha, Nakuru, or Thika, Kenya.
