Role Overview

We are inviting motivated and dynamic individuals to join our team as a Key Holder at our Bayview Village store in Toronto, Ontario. This leadership role reports directly to the Store Manager and plays a critical role in people management, customer experience, sales, and store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate onboarding and promote fast productivity of new and promoted employees.
• Provide formal and informal training on the GEOX Service Model, technologies, and company initiatives to encourage excellent performance.
• Use performance evaluation tools for continuous feedback and share insights with Store Management.
• Create an engaging and positive work environment through strong relationships and open communication.
• Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, handle complex issues with urgency, and escalate when needed.
• Ensure team adherence to the GEOX Service Model for outstanding customer interactions.
• Resolve customer conflicts professionally aiming for win-win results and boost customer loyalty by capturing contacts and promoting GEOX@Home service.
• Strategically assign roles to sales associates to optimize efficiency during varying traffic levels.
• Support and maintain corporate visual merchandising standards and keep the store clean and organized.
• Stay passionate and knowledgeable about GEOX products, technologies, collections, and trends, and help staff confidently share this knowledge with customers.
• Drive sales performance by identifying and maximizing sales opportunities.
• Manage cash office responsibilities including register opening/closing, cash counts, ordering change, preparing deposits, and auditing paperwork.
• Fill in as sales floor manager when needed.
• Execute inventory processes including consolidations, recalls, markdowns, shipment receiving, and manage inventory accuracy and discrepancy investigations.
• Implement loss prevention policies to safeguard store assets and minimize shrinkage.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met, including incident reporting and ladder safety compliance.
• Maintain organization of store areas such as stockrooms, cash desks, communication boards, and binders.
• Handle internal communications effectively by reviewing information boards, emails, and participating in meetings to align on goals.

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail experience in a customer-focused and results-driven environment, preferably in fashion apparel or footwear.
• High School diploma, College degree, or equivalent retail experience.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas clearly across all business levels.
• Proven leadership ability to motivate and influence staff towards sales performance and operational excellence.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
• Solid understanding of retail business and financial metrics with ability to link results to business actions.
• Good organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
