Food Counter Attendant

Job Summary

This role involves direct food handling and customer service tasks at a busy food establishment in Calgary, Alberta. The candidate will operate entirely on-site and work in a fast-moving environment requiring physical stamina and frequent repetition of duties.

Language and Education

• Proficiency in English is required.
• No formal degree, certificate, or diploma is necessary for eligibility.

Experience

Applicants should have between one month to under seven months of prior experience in similar responsibilities.

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate logs of food quantities used during operations.
• Package foods for take-out orders efficiently.
• Measure and wrap food portions appropriately.
• Prepare, warm, and complete the preparation of straightforward food items.
• Attend to customers at service counters or buffet setups.
• Replenish stock in refrigerators and salad bars as needed.
• Utilize both manual and electric kitchen appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim various food products.
