About Peppers Bluewater Resort
Situated overlooking the picturesque Lake Tekapo in New Zealand's central South Island, Peppers Bluewater Resort offers one, two, and three-bedroom suites and villas nestled within the pristine natural surroundings of the Mt Cook & Mackenzie region. Guests enjoy breathtaking views from the Rakinui Restaurant & Bar and experience authentic farm-to-table dining. The resort also hosts unique special events including weddings and conferences. When off duty, employees can indulge in the tranquil lifestyle with activities such as horse riding, hot pools, and stargazing.
Role Purpose
The Food & Beverage Supervisor plays a key role in delivering diverse dining experiences that reflect outstanding taste and service. The main responsibility is to lead a cohesive team to ensure seamless execution of all food and beverage functions, upholding high standards of quality and guest satisfaction.
Contract Details
- Location: Peppers Bluewater Resort, State Highway 8, Lake Tekapo 7945, New Zealand
- Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
- Working Hours: 30 to 48 hours weekly
- Compensation: 29 to 30 NZD per hour
- Minimum Qualification: NZ Diploma or equivalent, or at least 3 years of relevant experience
Key Responsibilities
- Lead front-of-house operations during peak periods by setting the pace and exemplifying strong leadership
- Work collaboratively with the team to inspire motivation and achieve outstanding results
- Assist with staff scheduling, support team development, and coordinate efforts across departments
- Foster a welcoming, friendly environment that creates memorable guest experiences
- Address challenges proactively by turning them into opportunities
- Guide the team in delivering service excellence while continuously improving product knowledge
Required Skills and Experience
- Genuine passion and enthusiasm for hospitality and foodservice sectors
- Proven track record of leading and empowering teams focused on delivering exceptional customer service
- Experience working across various food and beverage settings with flexibility to handle different shifts including weekends and public holidays
- Possession of a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate or country/state equivalent
- Strong commitment to engaging with guests and fostering a diverse professional team
