Position Summary

The Floor Technician role involves maintaining, restoring, and operating industrial floor care equipment to ensure all floor surfaces meet cleanliness and safety standards within the healthcare setting.

Primary Responsibilities

• Apply and maintain knowledge of hard-surface floor care techniques such as stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate a variety of industrial floor care machines.
• Use automated cleaning equipment to efficiently clean large floor areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstery care procedures including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Carry out maintenance and restorative actions on all floor types.
• Complete additional tasks as delegated by management.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in floor care or a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care equipment and related maintenance methods is necessary.
• Capability to follow safety protocols strictly.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 pounds regularly.

Work Schedule and Location

Full-time shifts with varying hours including 7:00 am–3:30 pm, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, and 11:00 pm–7:30 am; days may vary. The location is Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, 417 3rd Avenue, Albany, GA 31702.

Compensation

The position offers a fixed hourly wage of $15.00.
