Flat Rate Vehicle Detailer

About the Role

We are seeking motivated team members for flat rate detailer positions at our auto appearance centers. The ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-moving environment, delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining high-quality vehicle detailing standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the store's facilities are kept in excellent condition to support exceptional service delivery.
• Provide top-notch customer service through professional interactions, prompt attention to inquiries, and resolution of complaints effectively and efficiently.
• Perform vehicle washing, waxing, buffing with machines and cloths, interior vacuuming, upholstery and surface cleaning, and drying using air compressors and cloths.
• Apply preservation chemicals to protect vehicle surfaces from stains and spots.
• Handle special treatments including dyes, paints, waxes for leather and fabric vehicle interiors and exteriors.
• Clean and degrease engines or engine compartments as required.
• Adapt to additional duties assigned by management to meet operational requirements.

Working Conditions

• This role is physically demanding with frequent bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and entering/exiting vehicles repeatedly.
• Tasks may be performed outdoors under varying weather conditions.
• Handling and moving multiple vehicles throughout the workday is expected.
• Use of safe, OSHA-approved cleaning products including waxes, window cleaners, tar removers, and tire shine.
• Regular flexing of spine, hands, wrists, and fingers to maintain quality output.
• Occasional lifting or carrying of items up to 50 lbs.
• Strong auditory and visual acuity to detect imperfections and maintain quality control.
• Work with urgency respecting customer time, following strict grooming and uniform standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Quick learner and cooperative team member.
• Ability to read and understand operational instructions thoroughly.
• Respect and care for customers' vehicles with great attention to detail.
• Punctuality and dedication to staying focused during shifts.
• Competence driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Availability for weekend and holiday shifts as production demands.
• Commitment to reporting to work on time and maintaining productivity.

Additional Information

The position offers flat rate compensation and is contingent upon passing drug and background screenings, as the company is a drug-free workplace.
