Gulf Helicopters Company is seeking a seasoned Finance Manager to spearhead financial governance, accounting, budgeting, reporting, treasury management, insurance oversight, and joint venture supervision. The role is pivotal in maintaining financial health, ensuring regulatory adherence, and fortifying internal controls, thereby supporting strategic initiatives within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Finance Department to align financial operations with company policies and objectives, including coaching and mentoring finance staff.
• Drive the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes while overseeing financial performance against targets.
• Manage comprehensive accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, treasury operations, and timely financial closings.
• Oversee bank reconciliations and maintain accuracy in financial reporting while adhering to IFRS, statutory, and company regulations.
• Evaluate and monitor performance of joint ventures and affiliates, implementing governance frameworks and compliance structures.
• Administer corporate insurance policies, coordinating with brokers and underwriters to ensure appropriate coverage and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and risk management, supporting audit processes and implementing recommendations.
• Identify and promote process improvements, automation opportunities, and digital transformation initiatives within the finance function.
• Maintain adherence to health, safety, security, environmental, and quality policies, fostering a culture of risk awareness and operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
• Relevant professional accreditations such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA are highly valued.
• At least 12 years' experience in finance roles encompassing accounting, budgeting, and financial management, with a minimum 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Industry experience in aviation, transportation, oil and gas, engineering or asset-heavy sectors is advantageous.
• Proven expertise in financial governance, treasury functions, budgeting, and corporate compliance.

Technical and Leadership Skills

• Strategic financial leadership with strong governance and internal control capabilities.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and financial planning methodologies.
• Advanced analytical skills for financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with high integrity and accountability.
• Ability to thrive in multicultural, high-velocity environments and lead continuous improvement efforts.

Working Relationships

This role collaborates internally with the CEO, executive management team, department heads, and the finance team, and externally with regulators, banks, insurance brokers, joint venture partners, and auditors.
