Job description
About Pewag Australia
Founded in 2012, Pewag Australia is the Southern Hemisphere's initial subsidiary dedicated to supporting the surging demand for premium chains and related components. The company focuses particularly on producing protection and traction chains for rubber-tyred wheel loaders and off-road machinery utilized across industrial sectors such as open-pit mining, quarries, underground mining, and other specialised fields.
Role Overview
As a Field Service Technician within the Tyre Protection Chain division, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and inspecting chains in field environments to ensure high product performance and customer satisfaction. This role provides a unique opportunity to work both outdoors and in-office environments, blending mechanical tasks with administrative duties. Candidates who are self-driven, able to manage paperwork independently, and enjoy hands-on, on-site work are ideal. The position is suitable for individuals both with and without prior experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, service, and routine inspections of tyre protection and traction chains at various customer locations, including mine sites.
- Travel regularly to mine sites, ensuring that service and maintenance tasks are completed primarily within a Monday to Friday schedule.
- Support warehouse functions such as picking and packing orders, assisting logistics operations, and managing general administrative tasks.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a valid Western Australian driver’s license.
- Physical fitness and willingness to undergo medical assessments.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to responsibilities.
- Proficiency with basic sales concepts and administration, including familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
Benefits and Offerings
- Competitive starting salary ranging between $80,000 and $100,000 per annum.
- Company-provided fully maintained vehicle for work-related travel.
- Standard Monday through Friday workweek.
- Long-term, stable employment opportunity within an established company.
- Position located in Canning Vale, Perth.
