Position Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Facilities Manager to supervise and maintain the day-to-day operations of our company’s residential and commercial properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all assets function safely, efficiently, and in a cost-effective manner while upholding superior service standards and maximizing long-term asset value.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily facility functions including maintenance, security, cleaning services, and groundskeeping across company properties.
- Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities to guarantee asset reliability and longevity.
- Identify operational problems, conduct root cause analysis, and apply effective, sustainable resolutions to improve facility performance.
- Lead and develop teams focused on maintenance and facility management to achieve high-quality outcomes.
- Develop and implement standardized operational procedures to streamline maintenance and facility workflows.
- Prepare and oversee budgets related to facility management, negotiate and manage service contracts, and evaluate vendor performance.
- Assist in assessing operational expenses and efficiency for upcoming projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to manage handovers, refurbishments, and fit-outs for new building projects.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Advocate for and implement energy-efficient and sustainable facility management practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field is preferred.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in facility management or property operations, preferably in real estate development.
- Hands-on experience managing commercial buildings with multiple floors, large outdoor plaza areas, and residential complexes.
- Proven leadership ability, budgeting expertise, and vendor relationship management skills.
- Fluent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of AutoCAD or experience with Odoo systems (Maintenance, Projects, Facility modules) is beneficial.
- Relevant certifications such as Facility Management Professional (FMP) or equivalent credentials are advantageous.
